Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within district guidelines.
• Experience dispensing prescriptions with knowledge of state and federal laws.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and company policies.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with providers to prevent rejections.
• Assists with staff hiring, training and performance coaching.
• Supports customer experience initiatives and healthcare services promotion.
• Engages local medical community and participates in outreach to grow pharmacy services.
• Manages shift openings/closings and daily workflow.
