Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern in New York to learn how to provide outstanding patient experiences by assisting the pharmacist and pharmacy team in accordance with state and federal regulations.

You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support with counseling and health services within the required scope of practice. This role focuses on delivering a distinctive customer experience while growing knowledge of pharmacy operations.

Qualificações

• Must be enrolled in a Pharmacy program.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Engages customers and patients, greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure positive experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices among team members to deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience.
• Develops strong relationships with customers.
• Learn from store and pharmacy team members and leadership.
• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under pharmacist supervision, following state and company policies.
• Support pharmacists in delivering patient care within the state scope of practice, including counseling and health services.
• Report prescription errors to the on-duty pharmacist and adhere to policies.
• Maintain Good Faith Dispensing and assist with inventory, cash handling, and OTC guidance.
• Maintain clean, stocked Pharmacy Department and support with maintenance.
