Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy intern to assist the pharmacist and team in delivering a best-in-class patient experience. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under supervision.

You will learn pharmacy policy, procedures, and customer service best practices while supporting inventory and daily store operations. Training and development are emphasized throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Pursuant to San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist pharmacists and pharmacy team with entering, processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions under supervision.
• Support inventory management and maintain pharmacy area clean and orderly.
• Provide patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
