The Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern in Colorado to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will work under the pharmacist’s supervision to counsel on drugs, process prescriptions, and assist with OTC recommendations while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Active enrollment in a US pharmacy program and a valid Pharmacy Intern license are required. This role supports the King Soopers pharmacy team and provides opportunities to learn, grow, and engage with customers

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsabilités

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical products and discuss with customers and prescribers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over the counter medications recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication.
• Contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Process third party insurance information for customers.
• Facilitate charge purchases for customers.
• Accept and interpret prescribed medications for fill/refill.
• Provide immunizations under supervision of the pharmacist.
