Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist in dispensing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role involves IV and oral preparations, IV chemotherapy and total parenteral nutrition preparations, and operating automated dispensing machines.

The ideal candidate will hold a New York State Pharmacy Intern Permit. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and enrollment in a Pharm Doctoral program is a plus.

• Supports accurate dispensing and medication handling.
• Assists in maintaining Safe Handling Practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists in dispensing and distributing medications, including IV and oral meds, under supervision of licensed pharmacist.
• Maintains pharmaceutical supplies and records per Roswell Park policies.
• Fills automated dispensing machines (Talyst, Talyst pre-packaging, Pyxis).
• Assists with receiving supplies and preparing pharmaceutical orders.
• Assists in repackaging unit-dose medications.
• Maintains and files records according to policy.
