Mount Sinai Morningside seeks a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacy team with preparing and dispensing medications under supervision. You will help with stocking, labeling, and entry of prescriptions, and support the transition of orders for individual patients.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited (ACPE) College of Pharmacy, end of 3 year or above.
• 1 year hospital pharmacy setting preferred
• Name: Pharmacy Intern Permit

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medication.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules and prepares labels for bottles.
• Fills medications orders for individual patients under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Prepares intravenous (IV) medication using sterile technique under the supervision of hospital pharmacists.

Education

Enrolled in ACPE College of Pharmacy, end of 3 year or above

1 year hospital pharmacy setting preferred
