Qualifications

• Must have valid, limited Intern permit to practice pharmacy under the immediate supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Minimum: successful completion of the first year of professional coursework at an approved School of Pharmacy.
• Preferred previous experience as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern.

Responsibilities

• Assist in triaging, processing and delivery of prescriptions to patients.
• Assist in management of pharmacy inventory and third party receivables.
• Observe experienced staff to learn methods, procedures and standards for pharmacist duties.
• Prepare and file records for pharmacist review and ensure prescriptions are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.
• Perform store clerk duties and support pharmacy operations as needed.
