Job summary

JobRx, Inc. in the United States seeks a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering patient care and service. You will assist with gathering patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and upholding state and federal regulations.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will learn dispensing procedures, participate in health services such as patient counseling, and help with inventory and service excellence to ensure a positive experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products to create a positive experience.
• Support pharmacy team in entering, third party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
• Assist with patient counseling and health services within state scope.
• Report prescription errors promptly and follow quality policies.
• Help with inventory management and keep the pharmacy area clean and organized.
• Register sales at the cash register and assist customers to OTC products.
