Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient care in line with state and federal regulations.

You will learn to use pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and help maintain inventory while delivering a distinctive customer experience at the store level. The role requires fluency in English and a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team to provide patient experience in accordance with regulations.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Support pharmacy operations and inventory management and maintain store appearance.
• Provide patient counseling and health services within the state scope of practice for pharmacy interns.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to QA procedures.
