Job summary

CVS Health Graduate Pharmacy Intern role supports pharmacy teams in providing safe, accurate prescriptions while you apply didactic learning to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive 120‑day training roadmap designed to prepare you for increasing responsibility and a pharmacist role.

Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will deepen patient safety knowledge, assist with immunizations where allowed, and grow within a collaborative environment across CVS Health stores and markets.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task over time and pivot quickly between tasks
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and respond to patient needs
• Communication Skills: interact with patients and colleagues clearly and listen actively
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate dosage, days supply, and fill quantities
• Problem Resolution: identify challenges and choose best course of action
• Physical Demands: be mobile, lift and handle items, and perform required motions
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
• Support immunizations and vaccine processes as allowed by state regulations
