Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in no less than the third year of an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Maintains current unrestricted licensure as a pharmacy intern in Rhode Island.
• 1–3 months on-the-job training to become familiar with duties and procedures.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for pharmacist review and dispensing.
• Operate electronic drug dispensing system (EDDS) for inventory control and distribution.
• Maintain operating room medication inventory, including controlled substances.
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and non-sterile products per formulation records using aseptic technique.
• Deliver medications to clinic, procedural, and patient care areas and manage related paperwork.
• Assist in training of other pharmacy technicians and interns.
