Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage of medicine, side effects, interactions, and answers questions; refer to medical provider as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance to regulations, company policies and standards; assists in establishing efficient workflow and opening/closing duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET) and proposes system enhancements.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers.
