Job summary

NWU seeks a Pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy consulting, including medication usage guidance, immunizations, and drug interaction reviews in a customer-focused environment.

The role requires earning a Pharm D and licensure within 90 days. You will support dispensing accuracy, regulatory compliance, and patient counseling while contributing to store operations and community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Provides pharmacy consulting on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive healthcare like immunizations.
• Ensures proper compounding, dispensation, review, and verification of prescribed medications per regulations and policies.
• Engages customers, greets and assists with products/services, resolves issues for positive experiences.
• Complies with Good Faith Dispensing, controlled substance laws, and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and referrals when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and suggests enhancements to boost productivity.
• Processes insurance claims accurately and participates in third-party audits.
• Supports pharmacy manager with workflow optimization, staff assignments, and shift duties.
• Builds relationships with local healthcare providers and participates in community outreach to promote growth.
