Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join our Arizona department. You will assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications, counseling customers, and handling prescription processes while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

You must be actively enrolled in a US pharmacy program and hold a Pharmacy Intern license; duties include immunizations under supervision and collaboration with department staff to deliver excellent care.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over the counter medications recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense the correct medication.
• Contact prescribers' offices for authorization.
• Process third party insurance information for customers.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
