Job summary

CVS Health in Altoona, PA is seeking a 3rd-year Pharmacy Intern to apply pharmacy school learning in real-world practice. Under a preceptor, you’ll follow a comprehensive training roadmap, supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and caring service.

You will learn SOPs, participate in patient counseling under supervision, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations, while remaining flexible for scheduling and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend regularly, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Ensure accurate prescription labeling and patient safety.
• Provide empathetic customer service and teamwork.
• Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
• Assist with inventory and light stocking tasks.
• Support immunizations where allowed by state regulations.
• Travel to stores in the market as needed by the business.
