Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists and the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care and customer service. You will learn to process prescriptions, access patient data with pharmacy systems, and help maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

Under supervision, you will assist with counseling, health services, and point-of-care activities while building strong relationships with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists with products and services to ensure positive experience.
• Assists pharmacist and team in dispensing and patient care under supervision.
• Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Follows Walgreen Co. policies and Good Faith Dispensing guidelines.
• Reports prescription errors to pharmacist on duty per procedures.
• Supports inventory, cash handling, and store/pharmacy operations as needed.
