Qualifications

• Completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved technicians course or current enrollment in a professional academic pharmacy program.
• Satisfactory progress in the professional academic pharmacy program.
• Current registration with State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern.

Responsibilities

• Obtains supplies, prepares and labels drug orders under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Calculates and compounds aliquot doses.
• Distributes and/or transports medications to patient care areas under supervision.
• Monitors inventory levels and maintains records.
• Receives verbal medication orders if authorized by supervising pharmacist.
• Provides training and participates in in-servicing of staff and students.
