Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy operations. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs, participate in immunizations and patient care activities, and support pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, empathy in patient interactions, and developing readiness for a Pharmacist role with hands-on experience across store operations.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task over a period of time; pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner; respond to patients’ reactions
• Communication Skills: use verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues
• Mathematical Reasoning: use math to determine quantities and days’ supply for prescriptions
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose best action
• Physical Demands: be mobile, lift, reach overhead, and perform repetitive tasks
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
