Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate to complete internship hours and prepare for pharmacist licensure while supporting CVS pharmacy teams. Trainees will learn under a preceptor, follow SOPs, and gain patient-care experience in a fast-paced retail setting.

Youll develop clinical and technical knowledge, participate in immunizations and other services where allowed by law, and advance toward pharmacist responsibilities within an 18‑month internship window and 120‑day

Qualifications

• Foreign Graduate from a Non-US Accredited college or school of pharmacy prior to beginning US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate Training Program at CVS
• FPGEC certification
• Pharmacist licensure in the state in which the position is based within 120 days of completion of US Intern hours. Failure to complete required US Intern hours within 18 months, or to obtain Pharmacist licensure as prescribed, will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offering immunizations and other services when applicable
• Counseling patients, fielding medical questions, and gathering medical history information to provide optimal care under supervision
• Taking telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarifying prescriptions where allowed by state regulation
• Maintaining coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members while sharing best practices
• Completing basic inventory activities and assisting with stock management as directed
• Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, with potential travel to stores in the market
• Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, SOPs, and privacy/security requirements
• Delivering additional patient health care services (immunizations, point-of-care testing, offsite clinics) where permitted by law
