Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient care and service. You will assist with processing prescriptions, using pharmacy systems, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Support pharmacists and pharmacy team in entering, third-party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
• Adhere to Walgreens policies and Code of Conduct while handling prescriptions and patient information.
• Assist with inventory management and maintain pharmacy area cleanliness and orderliness.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty per company procedures.
• Provide patient counseling and health services within the state scope of practice as allowed.
