Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient experiences while learning state and federal regulations. You will use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and help process prescriptions.

Under supervision, you will assist with counseling, inventory, and daily pharmacy operations, while building knowledge of policies, procedures, and customer service best practices.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting and assisting with products and services.
• Assists pharmacists with entering, third party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
• Supports inventory management and adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Delivers patient care services under pharmacist supervision.
