Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy intern to learn and assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team in delivering patient care and excellent service. You will process prescriptions, obtain patient information, and support pharmacy operations under supervision, while delivering a distinctive customer experience.

As a pharmacy intern, you will be trained on policy, procedures, and customer service best practices, including health services within state scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team in processing prescriptions under supervision.
• Provide patient counseling and health services within the state scope of practice.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately in pharmacy systems.
• Maintain inventory and assist with store/department operations.
• Report prescription errors and adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies.
