Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Intern in Knoxville, TN for 10–20 hours per week onsite while you complete your Pharm.D. degree. Under supervision, you will assist pharmacists in reviewing prescriptions and patient plans, while learning regulatory compliance and patient care in a community/institutional setting.

You will develop communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, benefiting from mentorship and real-world pharmacy experience in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Pharm.D. program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy law.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including pharmacy software and EHR.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in reviewing new prescriptions and patient plan coverage information.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff, both orally and in writing.
  • Support compliance with division, corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in daily operations.
  • Develop practical skills through hands-on experience in a community/institutional setting.

Apply today!# **Job Details**Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist or other supervisory/management-level position in the facility, obtains new patient’s clinical and prescription plan coverage information, review new prescription and/or prescription.
