Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Informaticist in Dallas to lead development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of pharmacy information systems and clinical software. The role focuses on optimizing inpatient workflows, improving patient outcomes, and supporting financial performance.

Candidate must be a licensed pharmacist, graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy, with experience in hospital informatics, governance, and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with degree from accredited school and Texas license, licensed or in progress within 6 months.
• Willow Certified and able to handle confidential information.
• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.
• Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems (e.g., Epic) and data querying tools.
• Supervisory experience preferred; lead informatics projects and governance.
• Five years' experience with Pharmacy Information Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain pharmacy information systems to optimize workflows.
• Lead validation, testing, training, and documentation for changes to pharmacy modules.
• Collaborate with physician, pharmacy, and nurse leaders on informatics initiatives.
• Monitor billing accuracy and data integrity across financial and outcomes systems.
• Document activities, tickets, and project trackers in Ivanti, Sherlock, and SharePoint.
• Build and update order sets and drug builds per guidelines.
• Provide education to staff on new workflows and training materials.
• Uphold informatics policy and professional communication standards.
• Provide on-call support to multiple facilities after hours.
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
