Job summary

Methodist Health System in Dallas is seeking a Pharmacist Informatics Leader to develop, implement, and sustain hospital pharmacy information systems. You will work to optimize workflows, enhance care, and improve patient outcomes through system-wide informatics initiatives.

The role requires hospital pharmacy experience, data governance knowledge, and leadership in informatics projects with strong communication skills. On-call duties and collaboration across clinical teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
• Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (if not licensed in Texas, licensure within 6 months)
• Willow Certification
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrable use of spreadsheet, database, and data query software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience managing employees and leading clinical informatics projects (governance, change control)
• Hospitals experience with inpatient pharmacy workflow and Pharmacy Information Systems (5+ years)

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor pharmacy information systems (e.g., Epic) to optimize workflows and outcomes.
• Serve as System Administrator/PM for validating changes to pharmacy modules; provide training docs.
• Collaborate with physician, pharmacy, nurse leadership and informatics teams in a positive, efficient manner.
• Monitor billing accuracy and data integrity; coordinate CDM with Finance and Pharmacy Billing Technician; monitor data inputs/outputs.
• Document activities and tickets in Ivanti, Sherlock, Data Courier, SharePoint; ensure traceability.
• Build and maintain order sets and drug/mixture builds per guidelines and standards.
• Educate pharmacy staff on new hires, workflows, and training materials.
• Adhere to Health Informatics policies and professional office etiquette.
• Provide on-call support for multiple hospitals during non-business hours.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
