Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a Floor Manager to oversee daily LTC pharmacy floor operations, ensuring accurate dispensing, regulatory compliance, and timely medication services for residents.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate staffing, partner with pharmacists and nursing facilities, monitor workflows and KPIs, and drive process improvements while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and overtime flexibility.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas.
• Four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years’ long term care pharmacy experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software applications.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Detail oriented and accurate in handling medications.
• Willingness to work overtime with little or no notice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily pharmacy floor operations to ensure timely dispensing.
• Monitor workflow across order entry, filling, packaging, verification, and shipping.
• Prioritize workload to meet schedules and delivery timelines.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
• Direct, train, mentor, and support pharmacy technicians and staff.

This role ensures efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, medication order processing, packaging, dispensing, and delivery coordination while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer service. The Floor Manager supervises pharmacy technicians and support staff, coordinates staffing and productivity, and works closely with pharmacists, nursing facilities, and other departments to ensure timely medication services for residents.

Education, Knowledge And Skills

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas required.
• Four‑year degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years’ long term care pharmacy experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software applications.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
