Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services of Warrington LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, including picking, labeling, scanning, and final prep for pharmacist verification.

The role supports a well-organized workspace, maintains compliance with regulations, and may require overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed to meet patient needs. State licensure and prior long-term care pharmacy experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred).
• Knowledge of brand name/generic medications.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under supervision.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA.
• Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish stock.

Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.Duties/Responsibilities:Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacistFill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacistAssist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedureAssist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume timesPackage materials and products manuallyFollow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAAMaintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shiftAlert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properlyComply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress codeOvertime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expectedOther duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needsQUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
