Vizient, Inc. seeks a seasoned pharmacy consulting leader to drive engagements across multiple client accounts, optimizing enterprise pharmacy solutions and delivering measurable clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.

You will partner with health-system executives, pharmacy leaders, clinicians, and Vizient teams to assess programs, develop strategic recommendations, and guide implementation of initiatives that create value.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate consulting activities across multiple client accounts and project teams.
  • Lead project teams to achieve deliverables within established timelines and budgets.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pharmacy and medication management programs across health systems, infusion centers, ambulatory surgery centers, physician offices, and clinics.
  • Develop strategic operating plans using industry-leading practices, pharmaceutical care standards, data analysis, and benchmark comparisons to improve value, efficiency, and service excellence.
  • Lead formulary management and therapeutic interchange initiatives to standardize products, improve pricing, optimize medication utilization, and identify clinical and financial opportunities.
  • Deliver consultative and advisory services that translate pharmacy insights into actionable recommendations and measurable client outcomes.
  • Develop and enhance pharmacy consulting solutions, services, methodologies, and supporting practice initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, client executives, pharmacy leaders, and clinicians to support project execution, implementation, and sustained results.
  • Create and deliver influential presentations and recommendations to senior executives with clarity and confidence.
  • Present pharmacy insights, leading practices, and strategic recommendations at national and regional forums.

Summary

In this role, you will lead pharmacy consulting engagements across multiple client accounts to optimize pharmacy enterprise solutions and strengthen value delivered to clients. You will partner with health-system executives, pharmacy leaders, clinicians, and internal Vizient teams to assess pharmacy and medication management programs, develop strategic recommendations, and guide implementation of initiatives that deliver measurable clinical, operational, and financial results. You will also provide pharmacy subject matter expertise and contribute to the development and enhancement of consulting solutions and services.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Pharmacy degree (e.g., PharmD or BSPharm) required; master’s degree in business or health administration preferred.
  • Relevant health-system pharmacy practice experience required.
  • Experience assessing pharmacy programs and developing strategic clinical, operational, and financial recommendations required.
  • Experience with Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities preferred.
  • Experience leading pharmacy operations, medication management, or healthcare consulting initiatives preferred.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, executive-level communication, and client relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities and translate data into actionable solutions.
  • Willingness to travel.
Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $135,200.00 to $236,600.00. This position is also incentive eligible. Vizient has a comprehensive benefits plan!
