Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch or transportation supervision, preferably in healthcare or pharmacy delivery.
• Familiarity with driver licensing requirements and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient with dispatching software and Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in logistics, transportation, or safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the pharmacy driver dispatch team to ensure efficient routing and delivery of medications.
• Assign delivery routes based on priority, driver availability, and patient needs.
• Monitor driver locations and progress to quickly resolve delays or issues.
• Enforce safety protocols for drivers and ensure license/certification validity.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and inspections; track registrations and renewals.
• Handle accident reporting and collaborate with insurers.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and prepare fleet performance reports.
• Train and mentor dispatch staff; communicate with pharmacy team to coordinate schedules.
