Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Delivery Driver to support Homecare Pharmacy Services. You will ensure delivery of TPN, infusion medications and IV supplies to patients’ homes while providing a patient-first experience.

The role involves coordinating with Pharmacy and Warehouse teams, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety standards. Monday–Friday 12:00pm–8:00pm with certain weekends and on-call requirements when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to operate Foundation vehicles and maintain eligibility to drive.
• Two years of delivery experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery cleaning and testing of equipment.
• Deliver medications, supplies, and home medical equipment to patients’ homes.
• Ensure proof of delivery documentation is completed and accurate.
• Interact with patients or caregivers to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Maintain vehicle safety, cleanliness and compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

As a Delivery Driver for Homecare Pharmacy Services, you will ensureTPN,Infusion medications and IV supplies are properly distributed as directed by the Pharmacy Department.When interacting with patients, you will providea stellar “Patients First” experience in thecomfort of theirhomes.This position offers an excellent way to enhance your customer service skills while making ameaningfuldifference in your community.

A caregiver in this position worksMonday through Friday from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Saturday requirements occur every 4th weekend from 10:00am to 6:30pm. When Saturday shifts are worked, Tuesday through Saturday, on-call requirements will be needed for Sunday if needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform pre-delivery cleaning and testing of equipment.

• Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy and Warehouse teams to prioritize deliveries.

• Perform delivery of medication,suppliesand home medical equipment to patients’ homes andretrievemedical equipment as needed.

• Assure proof of delivery documentation is completed and returned.

• Interact directly with the patient or patient’s caregiver, ensuring excellence throughout thepatientexperience.

• Escalate safety concerns noticed in the home environment.

• Store medication,suppliesand equipment in vehicles securely and safely according to OSHA,TJCand other regulatory groups.

• Handle hazardous medications safely according to the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and other regulatory groups.

• Maintaindeliveryvehicle safety,efficiencyand cleanliness.

• Support basic inventory duties for supplies.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Obtain andmaintaineligibility tooperateFoundation vehicles

• Two years of delivery experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Experience related to specialty pharmacy or homecare

• Preferred candidate backgrounds may include:
  FedEx
  RTA (patient transport)
  UH delivery, prior hospital
  Other professional delivery roles requiring
  accountability and customer interaction

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift 60 pounds, load and unload trucks, sit or stand for the majority of a workday, bend kneel or crouch to set up and move equipment and use 2 wheeler safely.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
