Role and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver prescription medications to patients, clinics, and healthcare facilities.


• Verify recipient identity and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.


• Handle and transport medications with care, ensuring compliance with all handling and safety regulations.


• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs.


• Adhere to all HIPAA and company policies regarding patient confidentiality and privacy.


• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules, adjusting as needed based on traffic and weather conditions.


• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any delivery-related questions or concerns professionally.


• Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, ensuring it remains clean and in good working condition.


• Communicate with pharmacy staff regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues encountered.


• Assist with pharmacy duties as needed, including checking out prescriptions, putting prescriptions away, and selling prescriptions within the pharmacy as permitted by a pharmacy trainee license.


• Perform other pharmacy or delivery duties as deemed necessary by the pharmacy management team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.


• Previous experience in delivery driving, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting, is a plus.


• Strong knowledge of local routes and navigation tools.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to handle and transport prescriptions or medical supplies with care and professionalism.


• Must be detail-oriented, punctual, and reliable.


• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Skills/ Experience

• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices.
