Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. in Williamsville, NY is seeking an Operations Temporary Associate to support outbound calls to patients about drug delivery setup, schedule deliveries, confirm adverse events, and maintain patient medication profiles.

This temporary role runs 4-6 months, Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM, with compensation of $19/hour under supervision of the Supervisor/pharmacist. Strong customer service and cross-department collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Call center experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to patients to coordinate prescription drug deliveries and related services.
• Schedule deliveries based on patient needs while confirming medication effectiveness, potential adverse events, and allergy/medication profiles.
• Gather necessary refill information to support timely medication delivery through Reliance Rx.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to coordinate deliveries.
• Document required patient information and elevate any adverse events for pharmacy clinical review.
• Discuss copays, secure payment authorization, and assist with financial arrangements.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and filing.
• Support delivery scheduling, billing tasks (when designated), and copay collection.
• Collaborate across departments to promote teamwork, information sharing, and process improvement.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines, with any deviations approved by the supervising pharmacist.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
