Job summary
Longevity Scripts is seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician for its Orlando, FL pharmacy. The role involves accurately transcribing prescriptions into the pharmacy system, handling data entry with speed and precision, and resolving discrepancies under pharmacist supervision.
The position runs 11:30am-8:00pm with rotating weekends. Requires 1–3 years LTC prescription entry experience, valid Pharmacy Tech license, and solid knowledge of brand/generic meds and medical terminology.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of Long Term Care pharmacy prescription entry experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician license/certification.
- Brand vs. Generic medications understanding.
- Medical terminology and drug classifications knowledge.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Enter orders, patient data, allergies, and drug interactions accurately.
- Research and follow up on prescription data entry discrepancies.
- Resolve order discrepancies with customers and ensure accuracy.
- Work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Answer incoming calls professionally and courteously.
- Communicate clearly with team to ensure accurate information.
