Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Orlando is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for data entry and prescription processing. This onsite role involves handling high-volume tasks, triaging faxes, and coordinating with doctors’ offices to ensure accurate dispensing.

Requires state licensing or registration as a Pharmacy Technician; a national certification is preferred. Flexible hours include some weekends; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements).
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB).
• 2+ years of related experience; advanced degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system in accurate and timely manner to eliminate errors at dispensing.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding; calculate and verify dosage.
• Demonstrate care and courtesy when responding to calls from customers; route calls as needed.
• Receive, evaluate and follow-up with doctors’ offices on refills; maintain cycle medication records.
