Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta in Marietta, GA is seeking a pharmacy technician to enter prescriptions, manage refills, and communicate with healthcare providers and customers. Join a growing team focused on accurate dispensing and quality patient care.

Responsibilities include using pharmacy systems, verifying dosages, and supporting cycle medication workflows while maintaining meticulous records and delivering timely service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED per state requirements.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB).
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and in a timely manner to prevent dispensing errors.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on the prescription.
• Communicate with customers by phone with care and courtesy; route calls as appropriate for top‑level service.
• Receive, evaluate, and follow up with doctors’ offices on refills.
• Develop proficiency in pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy systems).
• May assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and processing prescriptions as needed.
• Maintain and learn cycles to meet delivery deadlines and renew cycle orders as applicable.
