As an Advisory Services Consultant, Pharmacy Analytics, you will be responsible for the management medical and pharmacy claims data, with a focus on conducting analysis, communicating to various stakeholders and operations and assuring data quality. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor with an attention to detail and a curious mind-set.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build analytical tools and lead process automation opportunities through various programming languages such as SQL and R
  • Provides consulting services to external clients to understand and improve pharmacy benefit insights
  • Uses medical and pharmacy claims data to identify and solve a range of problems within the pharmacy benefit
  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
  • Queries from relational databases and summarizes information in a meaningful way
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet client deadlines
  • Provides explanations and information to others on topics within area of expertise
  • Acts as a resource for others with less experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of healthcare analytics experience
  • 3+ years of statistical software experience with SQL, R, SAS or Python
  • 1+ years of pharmacy claims & enrollment data experience
  • Proven intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Healthcare informatics, pharmacy claims, and/or medical claims experience
  • Proven ability to communicate and present data to stakeholders

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
