Job summary

Walgreens in Michigan is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and deliver excellent customer service at the checkout and in the pharmacy. You will use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and assist the pharmacist under supervision.

Strong math skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to compliance are required. Preference given to candidates with retail experience and PTCB certification; training provided to maintain certification.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
Prefer good math skills for filling prescriptions.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
Register purchases and handle payments, returns, and exchanges.
Assist pharmacist under supervision with entering patient and drug information and processing prescriptions.
Maintain stock, displays, and store cleanliness.
Assist with inventory management and pricing.
