Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or related items to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and record-keeping. Assists in inventory checks and merchandise management as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for drug interactions. Supports pharmacists in workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement. Complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including those to physicians, and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection and files claims for discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement, stock rotation, and restocking following store policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and handles web order pick-ups.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
