Customer Experience

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).

Operations

• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
• Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
• Handles transactions at the cash register, including processing payments, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and records transactions. Assists with pricing and stocking merchandise as directed.
• Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
• Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality.
• Handles telephone inquiries not requiring pharmacist attention, including communication with physicians.
• Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
• Supports inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection protocols and files claims for discrepancies.
• Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as needed.
• Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and restocking using FIFO methods.
• Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
• Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
• Manages web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
• Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Completes additional tasks and special assignments as directed.

Training & Personal Development

• Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
• Participates in training sessions, acquires CE credits, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.

Additional requirements include fluency in English (excluding Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
