Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and processing returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to pharmacy policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages claims for overages, shortages, and damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement, stock rotation, and store cleanliness.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo department, including passport photos and promotional products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring and fulfilling orders.
- Supports store maintenance and ensures a clean, neat store environment.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification through training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions and acquires required credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy knowledge.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
