Qualifications

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow and uses pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies.
• Handles calls and processes claims for third party prescription services.
• Maintains store cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and displays.
• Assists with inventory management in the Pharmacy Department.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
