Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk in Ohio to deliver friendly customer service, assist pharmacists with prescription processing, and support daily pharmacy operations. You will work under pharmacist supervision, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and ensure accurate dispensing.

The role emphasizes strong math and computer skills, with a preference for prior retail experience and PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription counting and clerical work.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service; assists with product recommendations and stock management.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, including entering patient and drug information and assisting workflow.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and Quality Improvement.
• Adheres to Walgreens policy on Good Faith Dispensing and handles relevant pharmacy-related tasks.
