Job summary

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision and uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Keeps counters and shelves clean and merchandised and assists with inventory.
• Assists with prescription processing, including entering information and checking for possible interactions.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to policy.
• Supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities and store operations as needed.
