An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Coordinator to oversee daily pharmacy operations. The Pharmacy Coordinator, under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager, coordinates activities related to daily operations of the pharmacy including, but not limited to scheduling, payroll, staff orientation and training, and billing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience: 4160 hours of pharmacy technician experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Minnesota Technician registration prior to start date. Pharmacy Administration will assist in obtaining registration if needed. Must be nationally certified as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcare Association (NHA) upon hire into position.

Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician at St. Luke’s Hospital.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to plan work, set priorities, meet deadlines, investigate and resolve questions and problems; strong verbal and written communication skills; maintain excellent pharmacy standards while considering practical requirements; must have strong aptitude for computer applications software. Ability to distinguish routine functions from those that require pharmacist professional judgment; ability to adapt to the changing role of the Hospital pharmacy and develop new technician roles; ability to give consistent attention to details. No history of drug addiction or misuse; good physical and emotional health patterns; attends lectures and classes for self-improvement; pleasant personality and cooperative attitude in adjusting to a variety of pharmacy situations; work experience that indicates responsibility, maturity and accountability; demonstrates care, alertness and exactness. Able to work varying shifts as needed.
READING - Advanced: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to see, hear, stand, talk, bend, and sit for an eight (8) hour period; ability to lift twenty-five (25) pounds.
LIFTING REQUIREMENTS
Up to 10 pounds - Frequently 1/3 to 2/3 (2.5 – 5.5 hours)
Up to 25 pounds - Occasionally Under 1/3 (1-2.5 hours)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical Noise Level - Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Hazardous drug exposure.
Additional Information
This position is generally Monday thru Friday "day" shift but may also cover some evenings, nights, weekends as needed.
