Job summary

Walgreens Co. in Macon, GA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and provide excellent customer service at the point of sale. You will assist with entering patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and helping customers with product questions.

The role requires flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, and ownership of accuracy in medication handling and store operations. Training and certification opportunities may be offered.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Preferred PTCB certification or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service and recommends items for sale.
• Registers customer purchases, handles payments, processes returns and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Supports inventory management activities for pharmaceuticals.
• Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adheres to policy and Quality Improvement Program.
