Job summary

CareMetx in Brooks, KY seeks a Director, Pharmacy Compliance to lead the compliance program for its closed-door specialty pharmacy operations, owning licensure, board relations, HIPAA privacy, and Anti-Kickback risk.

Reporting to the General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, you will collaborate with pharmacy operations, hub services, and legal teams to ensure accreditation readiness (URAC, ACHC) and policy guidance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CHC or CCEP certification strongly preferred.
• PharmD, RPh, or JD a plus.
• 7+ years healthcare compliance experience, with substantial pharmacy operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain compliance controls for eligibility verification, enrollment, and dispensing to ensure safe harbors and OIG guidance.
• Own multi-state pharmacy licensure compliance including new licenses, renewals, and changes of ownership.
• Manage relationships with state boards of pharmacy and lead remediation efforts.
• Oversee HIPAA privacy compliance specific to pharmacy operations and incident response.
• Serve as SME on Anti-Kickback Statute and fraud risk in hub-plus-pharmacy models.
• Maintain accreditation readiness and audit processes with URAC/ACHC.
• Conduct risk assessments and internal audits; report findings to CCO.
• Develop and deliver pharmacy-specific compliance training for staff.
• Partner with leadership on dispensing, inventory, and DEA-related policies.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into practical policy updates.
• Support due diligence and integration compliance for pharmacy-related transactions.
