Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of specials and promotions.
• Recommend items to ensure customers receive what they want and need.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Reinforce safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, notifying store management.
• Assist with preventive equipment checks and notify if items need repair.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks or illicit activity.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support for minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
