Pharmacy Clerk (Cashier)

Location: US-OR-Portland.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and assists in locating prescriptions for sale.
• Receives money or processes credit cards or other payments in the pharmacy. Accurately totals purchases, collects the correct amount, and makes accurate change.
• Facilitates end-of-day reports and ensures appropriate monies are in the tills for the start of the next day's business. Accurately reports receipts.
• May be assigned to routine tasks not involving handling of medications.
• May answer the telephone and provide the public with general information and directions.
• Provides excellent customer service to customers.
• Routinely calls customers to remind them to pick up prescriptions.
• Assists in daily inventory activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Work experience or training, including the exchange of money for purchases and making change.
• Proven prior successful customer service experience.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Systematic problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
