Hy-Vee Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to join our Pharmacy department.
You will provide prompt, friendly customer service, keep the pharmacy area clean, and assist with product and supply orders, invoicing, and patient intake for prescriptions. The role includes stocking, assisting customers, taking refill orders, handling cash, and supporting pharmacists with vaccine administration where permitted by law.
Night & Weekend Shifts Required

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service; ensures cleanliness of department; orders product and supplies; logs invoices as necessary.
Accountable and Reports to: District Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Store Operations and Perishables; Pharmacy Department Manager; Pharmacists
High school or equivalent experience. Over six months up to one year of similar or related experience.
Vaccination certification as required by law, if applicable.
Must be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Vision requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
This position is exposed to noise on a daily basis. It is a fast‑paced work environment with significant pressure. There is occasional exposure to dangerous chemicals/solvents while compounding products and chemotherapy drugs.
PC with pharmacy software and printer, cash register, pharmacy balance, scanner, calculator, telephone, fax, and copier.
Maintains confidentiality of the customer’s private medical information.
Deals with the general public on a daily basis; works with suppliers/vendors monthly. May handle hazardous drugs (USP800); acknowledges risk of exposure.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
