Kroger Co. is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives in a busy retail setting. You will assist pharmacists, handle data entry, dispense medications, and maintain HIPAA-compliant practices while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires compliance with state/federal regulations, 18+ age, and a High School Diploma or GED. Prior experience and licensure are advantageous, with opportunities to grow within a national grocery retailer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and policies.
• Maintain a current national/state registration/certificate/license as required.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support coaching and training of clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and applications.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings as per regulations.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by regulators.
• Comply with sanitation and safety guidelines; report unsafe conditions.
